Great is the matter of birth and death; impermanence surrounds us. Be awake each moment; do not waste your life.

This is my blog where I share a little piece of myself from nutrition, health and well-being, and information regarding your body to beautiful pictures, artists and their art, and anything I find funny with a mix of politics.

Ron Paul 2008 & Hope for America

I really like what TylerMC says about Ron Paul. So eloquent and straight-forward. "The great thing about Ron Paul is that thou he runs as a Republican, it doesn't matter if you're Republican or Democrat because his whole focus is: What does the Constitution say and does this bill or event support or denigrate it. If it supports the constitution, he votes yes. If it doesn't, he votes no. On those contentious issues like abortion and gay marriage that get people worked up, the constitution leaves these issues to the individual states to decide. These were never meant to be federal issues. Same goes for health, education and other administrative tasks. When the federal government does these things, the best interests of the people are often missed because what Mississippi needs and wants isn't necessarily what Alaska needs and wants. Through centralization, the federal government can further control each of us. The United States was never meant to be that way. It gives the President too much power. The real power in this country is suppose to be at the state and local level. Paul will stick with what binds us together as a nation and remove the unconstitutional things that tear us apart, bankrupt and leave us vulnerable due to our self-centered actions globally, (like the fact that the US has instigated and started 200 mini and major wars between 1941 and 9/11/01) We've been constantly at war since 12/7/41 somewhere in the world and except for Pearl Harbor, we picked all the fights.Serial wars are a direct result of a nation with a standing army, something we were never supposed to have. They are also a direct result of a nation which basically manufactures little else these days other than weapons. We're in the War business and that coupled with our debt is a recipe for disaster and the end of the American Empire. Paul is the only candidate actually addressing the root causes of our largess and growing hatred in the world."
